Significant Winter Storm to Continue Widespread Hazardous Weather Across the East

A strengthening eastern storm will bring areas of heavy snow and ice from the Midwest to the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast Wednesday before tapering off on Thursday. The Winter Weather Advisory has been cancelled for the lowlands of western Whatcom County but remains in place for the Cascades of Whatcom and Skagit Counties. More mountain snow developing today and tonight with heavy accumulations in the Cascades from Snohomish County southward. Snow covered roads and limited visibilities could lead to travel difficulties.
