Hurricane Erin may bring isolated flash and urban flooding, landslides or mudslides, and possible tropical storm conditions to Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands this weekend. Scattered thunderstorms and heavy rainfall may bring areas of flooding this weekend over the Upper Midwest. 1991

14th-16th…Afternoon thunderstorms developed in a warm flow of moist air which persisted over the region for the three days. The thunderstorms produced three-quarter inch hail and some damage while downing tree limbs and power lines. On the 14th, a Rochester man was injured only slightly when he was struck by lightning while getting into his truck during a thunderstorm. Wind damage was also reported in Canandaigua, Medina, Akron, and Middleport.

2000

Thunderstorms along the Lake Erie shore produced torrential rains during the early overnight hours. The County Sheriff reported road and basement flooding in Silver Creek and Irving.

Later in the day, thunderstorms which developed during the late evening hours produced damaging winds that downed trees and power lines. Amateur radio spotters reported damage in Cape Vincent, Jefferson county, and Forestville, Chautauqua county.
