...FOURTH WARMEST START TO SEPTEMBER AND WARMEST WEEK OF 2015...

THE FIRST WEEK OF SEPTEMBER BROUGHT HOT AND OFTEN HUMID CONDITIONS
TO MUCH OF THE MIDWEST INCLUDING NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST
INDIANA. FOR BOTH CHICAGO AND ROCKFORD...SEPTEMBER 1ST-7TH WAS THE 
WARMEST WEEK OF 2015. THIS IS HIGHLY UNCOMMON FOR THE WARMEST WEEK 
TO FALL OUTSIDE OF THE MONTHS OF JUNE-AUGUST. IN FACT...THE 
WARMEST WEEK OF THE YEAR HAS NOT FELL IN SEPTEMBER SINCE 1990 FOR 
BOTH CITIES.

THIS ALSO WAS THE 4TH WARMEST FIRST WEEK OF SEPTEMBER ON RECORD
FOR BOTH CHICAGO AND ROCKFORD.
