An opportunity for showers and a couple thunderstorms is forecast Friday into Saturday; until then, rain-free conditions continue. High temperatures will climb to the upper 70s to lower 80s this week, with the potential to be near or break records Tuesday through Thursday for several communities.
The latest Drought Monitor reveals a large area of Moderate to Extreme drought across the state. Due to ongoing warm & dry conditions, drought is expected to persist & expand over the coming months. A Fire Danger Advisory remains in effect.
