Heavy to Excessive Rains in The Four Corners Region and Midwest; Heat Persists in the South-Central U.S.

Repeated rounds of showers and thunderstorms could bring a flash flooding threat across the Four Corners region and from the mid-Mississippi Valley into the lower Great Lakes.   • Be alert for ponding of water on roadways.
  • Watch for rapidly rising waters on area creeks and rivers.
  • Don't go around barricades. Turn around and find an alternate route.
  • If you have interests along a river, monitor forecasts closely and take protective actions if needed.
