Heavy to Excessive Rains in The Four Corners Region and Midwest; Heat Persists in the South-Central U.S.

Repeated rounds of showers and thunderstorms could bring a flash flooding threat across the Four Corners region and from the mid-Mississippi Valley into the lower Great Lakes. Light to moderate snow fell across portions of southeast Iowa, northeast Missouri, and west central Illinois on Wednesday as an upper level storm system passed across the region. Snowfall amounts generally ranged from around 1 to 3 inches, with the heavier totals in southeast Iowa.
