Storm Impacting the Southwest U.S.; Above Normal Temperatures Further East

A storm system will shift across the southwest U.S. through Thursday with widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms. Isolated flooding is possible. High-elevation snow is also expected in parts of Nevada and the southern Sierra Nevada range. Overview

Severe storms with the damaging winds and large hail moved across southeast Iowa, northeast Missouri, and west central Illinois during the evening of Tuesday, June 25.

Trees were downed in Lee County Iowa, as well as Hancock and Mc Donough counties in Illinois.

Hail up to golf ball sized and torrential rains were also observed.
