Above Average Temperatures for Most Today; Winter Weather Returns to the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes

Well above average temperatures are forecast today into Wednesday over most of the lower 48 states away from the Gulf Coast. A storm system passing across southern Canada will bring a wintry mix to the upper Great Lakes today. Overview

Severe storms with the damaging winds and large hail moved across southeast Iowa, northeast Missouri, and west central Illinois during the evening of Tuesday, June 25.

Trees were downed in Lee County Iowa, as well as Hancock and Mc Donough counties in Illinois.

Hail up to golf ball sized and torrential rains were also observed.
