Climate Prediction Center Temperature and Precipitation Outlooks
The Climate Prediction Center (CPC) produces various outlooks for the United States, ranging from 6 to 10 and 8 to 14 day outlooks as well as monthly and seasonal outlooks.
Their latest 6 to 10 day temperature and precipitation outlooks show odds favoring warmer than normal temperatures and drier conditions persisting through May 13th. This aligns well with the strong ridge of high pressure that will remain over the Great Basin into next week.
However, there is still hope for the month of May. The CPC's monthly outlook for May shows odds still favoring warmer than normal temperatures but with above normal precipitation, especially in northeastern Utah and northwestern Colorado.
