Scattered to numerous severe thunderstorms are expected to expand further east each day from the southern High Plains to the Tennessee and Lower Ohio Valleys today through Saturday. Heavy to excessive rainfall may bring flooding to parts of the Four Corners/Desert Southwest, coastal Carolinas, and Midwest regions today. Drier weather today, still a chance of storms in the mountains

Drier weather has moved in from the northwest today. Expect a few isolated storms in the mountains, however overall much drier air will eliminate the rain threat in the lower valleys. Increasing chances for thunderstorms are expected by Friday.
