Inclement Weather in the Pacific Northwest; Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms in Southern Texas

A series of cold fronts will continue to bring periods of gusty winds, low elevation rainfall, and high elevation snow to the Pacific Northwest this week. Heavy to excessive rainfall may produce areas of flooding over southern Texas through Monday morning. Experimental HRRR Smoke Transport

Here is an experimental forecast model's output of smoke transport from the 416 Wildfire north of Durango. Areas of smoke and haze are expected today in portions of southwest Colorado. Winds are still on track to shift to the southwest late this morning/early this afternoon which will shift the projected smoke transport. Please take the necessary precautions if you are sensitive to smoke by minimizing outdoor activity.
