Weekend Showers and Thunderstorms Over the Southeast U.S.

A slow moving storm system over the northern Gulf Coast will continue periods of showers and thunderstorms over much of the Southeast U.S. through this weekend. Drier and warmer weather has returned to the region with only isolated showers expected over the higher mountains. Winds will be picking up over the weekend and this may result in an increase in fire weather concerns. Stay tuned! In the meantime, we are looking back at the 2016/17 winter season in picture mode.
