Severe Thunderstorms from the Midwest to Mid-Atlantic Tonight; The Heat Continues in the Southern and Eastern U.S.

Strong to severe thunderstorms capable of producing large to very large hail, damaging wind gusts and a few strong tornadoes are likely from the Midwest to the Mid-Atlantic tonight. Moderate Risk (level 4 of 5) of severe thunderstorms is outlooked for the Midwest. Sunny Today with Increasing Clouds on Monday

Sunny and warmer conditions can be expected today. Scattered snow showers will develop over the higher terrain later today into this evening. Warmer temperatures are expected on Monday with increasing clouds and breezy conditions by the afternoon. This next system will bring areas of light snow to mountain locations Monday night into Tuesday with drier conditions returning on Wednesday.
