Heavy thunderstorms will continue areas of excessive rainfall and locally considerable flooding over parts of the southern Plains into the mid-Mississippi River Valley through Friday. Sunny and warmer conditions can be expected today. Scattered snow showers will develop over the higher terrain later today into this evening. Warmer temperatures are expected on Monday with increasing clouds and breezy conditions by the afternoon. This next system will bring areas of light snow to mountain locations Monday night into Tuesday with drier conditions returning on Wednesday.
