Thursday, May 2nd, 2019 - Saturday, May 4th, 2019

Who: National Weather Service, Goodland, KS
Where: 920 Armory Road, Goodland, KS 67735
When: Tours will be held Friday between 9 am MDT and 12 pm MDT, between 9 am MDT and 10:30 am MDT on Saturday.
How Often: Tours Friday will begin every 15 minutes from 9 am MDT to 11 am MDT (a total of 9 tours available), Tours Saturday begin every 15 minutes from 9 am MDT to 9:30 am MDT
How to Sign Up: Call ahead of time to set-up your tour! Tours are limited to about 20 people per tour.

Tours will be composed of:

A History of NWS Goodland
What instruments are observed to monitor/measure weather
What do we do? What are we responsible for?
Volunteer programs available to help the National Weather Service
Question and Answer - Ask us anything!

Additional Information:

Parking Information: Free parking will be available near the NWS Office. Additional information will be available closer to the event.
Event is weather dependent! If adverse weather is anticipated, the tours will need to be cancelled in order for the National Weather Service to meet it's mission: protection of life and property.

Directions:

From the North:

Go south down KS Highway 27.
Turn left (east) onto County Road 67
Continue straight (south) onto N Caldwell Avenue for about a mile
Take a left onto Armory Road

From the South (beginning at I-70):

If on Interstate 70, take exit 17 for KS Highway 27.
Go north on KS Highway 27 for 4 miles
Turn right (east) onto County Road 67
Continue straight (south) onto N Caldwell Avenue for about a mile
Take a left onto Armory Road

No Drugs, Weapons, Alcohol, or Smoking Allowed on Premises.
No Bags allowed in either building. No pets allowed but Service Animals are permitted.
