July Precipitation July Precipitation % of Normal
July 2015 rainfall proved near to above normal for much of Kansas, with many areas at least 130-150% of normal. However, there were pockets of below normal rainfall over portions of far northwest Kansas, as well as portions of southwest, central and east-central Kansas.

July 2015 temperatures proved near to above normal for much of Kansas, with some locations at least 2 degrees above normal. However, portions of south-central and northern Kansas were below normal, with a small portion of northeast Kansas 2-4 degrees cooler than normal.

 

Other Highlights:

  • Wichita experienced its 6th wettest July on record (since 1888), measuring 7.40 inches of rain at Eisenhower National.
  • Anthony experienced its wettest July on record (since 1896), measuring 11.40 inches of rain.
  • Argonia experienced its wettest July on record (since 1973), measuring 10.91 inches of rain.
  • Bluff City experienced its wettest July on record (since 1973), measuring 9.39 inches of rain.
