July & August 2026 Climate Info (updated September 1st)
* The high temperature in Wichita made it to 90 degrees each day in August, which is the first time this has ever happened in an August in Wichita. * Wichita has currently reached 90 degrees for 40 straight days! This is the 6th longest 90 degree streak in Wichita's history. The lonest consecutive stretch of days reaching 90 degrees is 52, set back in 1980. There is a chance this could be broken, so check back! * Wichita has reached 100 degrees 20 days so far this year and 12 days of 104+ degrees. This is the 9th most days of 104+ in a year, and the most since 2012. * This is Wichita's 2nd driest July-August on record (since 1888), with Eisenhower Airport only received 0.75 inches of rain. Average is 8.28 inches. Driest July-August on record is 0.25 inches during the Dust Bowl of 1936.
