Overview

Storms first developed during the late afternoon hours on Wednesday June 10th across northeast Kansas. As the evening hours progressed, storms started to develop back to the southwest across Central Kansas. With an abundance of instability and shear in place, storms quickly became severe, producing large hail.

Around 8 pm, the last storm in the line quickly strengthened and became a supercell. In addition, it became nearly stationary for over an hour and also started to show low level rotation, eventually producing a brief tornado.
