Consistent observational gage data is not available on the West Fork of the Calcasieu River at Sam Houston Jones State Park (LCRL1) forecast location. River gage observations are critical for producing high quality forecasts, so after coordination, the National Weather Service will discontinue forecast services for this location, effective May 20th, 2026.
