Saturday morning low temperatures will vary from the low to mid 60s.

Saturday high temperatures will vary from the upper 70s to mid 80s on Saturday afternoon.

Through the weekend, scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected. The forecast calls for a half inch to an inch of rain across Arkansas, with locally heavier amounts in the west and northeast.

A powerful storm system ("L") in the northern Plains will drag a cold front toward Arkansas Monday/Tuesday. The front will stall to the northwest of the state on Wednesday. Surrounding the front, severe weather will be possible for several days in the middle of the country.

The latest drought monitor has been issued and there is not a lot of difference from what we were looking at last week.
