Heavy to Excessive Rainfall for the Southwest U.S.; Watching for Possible East Coast Storm

Thunderstorms and a chance for some isolated flash flooding will continue today in the Southwest U.S. before an influx of tropical moisture from Priscilla brings widespread heavy rainfall and a flash flooding threat late this week into this weekend. Pictures of waterspouts off Soldier Key Saturday September 13, 1997. A least two waterspouts were visible around 10:40 a.m. between Key Biscayne and Elliott Key about 9 1/2 miles due east of Saga Bay.
