Heavy Precipitation and Strong Winds in the West; Locally Severe Weather in the East and Central Plains

Several atmospheric river events will bring widespread moderate to heavy precipitation and strong winds to much of the Pacific Northwest and California through early next week. A few storms might produce locally strong to damaging wind gusts over a portion of eastern North Carolina and Central Plains later today.
