Storm Systems to Impact the Central and Eastern U.S. Through the Weekend

Two storm systems will track through the central and eastern U.S. today through this weekend with areas of gusty winds, rain and heavy snow. Severe thunderstorms and heavy to excessive rainfall is forecast today from the Lower Mississippi River Valley to the Tennessee Valley. Cold start to February

Very cold temperatures and low wind chills will persist through mid morning. Temperatures are around zero early this morning (away from the immediate Lakeshore), with wind chills of 10 to 20 below zero. Temperatures will warm into the mid to upper teens by late afternoon.

Morning temperatures and wind chills will be dangerous to anyone spending time outside, so make sure to bundle up if you venture out.
