Heavy Rain and Flash Flooding Threat in Montana; Severe Thunderstorms in the Middle Missouri Valley

A low pressure system will bring heavy to excessive rainfall and high winds across Montana this afternoon. Heavy rainfall totals may lead to scattered flash flooding concerns. Cold start to February

Very cold temperatures and low wind chills will persist through mid morning. Temperatures are around zero early this morning (away from the immediate Lakeshore), with wind chills of 10 to 20 below zero. Temperatures will warm into the mid to upper teens by late afternoon.

Morning temperatures and wind chills will be dangerous to anyone spending time outside, so make sure to bundle up if you venture out.
