There is a potential for marginally severe thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon and evening, primarily south of I-40. A bowing line originating near Missouri early tomorrow, is forecast to move southeast across Tennessee, potentially affecting southern portions of our county warning area - southern plateau and valley and southwest North Carolina. However, there is some uncertainty if this line can maintain strength by the time it arrives. Damaging straight-line winds are the primary threat with the potential for up to ping pong ball (1.5") size hail. The line is expected to move through quickly, so not anticipating any flooding impacts at this time.
Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms in place through this evening. Isolated flooding is possible. Another round of storms on Monday, with potential for strong to severe storms. A drier weather pattern is expected beyond Tuesday.
