A Flood Watch has been issued for most of the region for this evening and overnight tonight. While many places will only receive light to moderate rainfall a nearby county/city could see 4+ inches of rain overnight. High confidence that heavy rain will occur somewhere in the region, but unfortunately low confidence on exactly where.
Periods of showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon into Sunday. A few of these storms may become strong to severe, producing gusty winds and heavy rainfall. Isolated flooding is possible across areas that see repeated rounds of showers and storms. Hot conditions return next week with highs rising well into the 90s for most valley locations.
