Severe Thunderstorm and Fire Weather Threats in the Central U.S. Today; Strong Storm in Western Alaska

There is an Enhanced Risk (Level 3 of 5) for severe thunderstorms today with threats for significant severe hail and tornado potential over southern Iowa into northern Missouri and west-central Illinois. Widespread frost is expected across all of northwest OR and southwest WA Tuesday night/Wednesday morning as temperatures dip into the low to mid 30s for most locations. However, temps will dip into the upper 20s across the Upper Hood River Valley where a Freeze Warning is in effect.
