Cooler-than-normal temperatures will be observed across the region through the first half of this week thanks to an area of low pressure. However, this low will weaken gradually over the next few days allowing for temps to increase over the course of the workweek.
Temperatures will gradually increase through the week as low pressure weakens and high pressure returns resulting in widespread Moderate HeatRisk by the end of the week and into the weekend.
Climate Prediction Center's 8-14 day precipitation outlook continues a favorable trend for south-central Arizona, as this area now has a 60-70% chance for above normal precipitation during this period.
