Thunderstorms are expected across Utah and southwest Wyoming this afternoon as a push of monsoonal moisture enters the region. The main threat area includes the West Desert and Southwest Utah, where a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for isolated damaging wind gusts is in place for this afternoon. Head indoors when storms approach!
A surge of monsoonal moisture today will result in widespread showers and thunderstorms this afternoon, with potential for isolated flash flooding across central and southern Utah. Most vulnerable locations for flash flooding include slot canyons, normally dry washes, and recent burn scars. Turn around don't drown, and remain weather aware if recreating outdoors today!
