Tropical Depression in the Gulf; Severe Thunderstorms Monday

Tropical Depression Two is expected to gradually strengthen and could bring tropical storm conditions to the Florida Panhandle beginning late Monday. Areas of flash flooding will be possible through Thursday along the eastern and central Gulf Coast. Heat Advisory Monday Afternoon and Evening

A Flood Watch remains in effect through this evening, Sunday, July 19, for south-central and southwest Utah. Thunderstorms will be capable of producing heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash flooding of normally dry washes, slot canyons, recent burn scars and poor drainage areas.

A Heat Advisory has been issued for the Wasatch Front, Northern Wasatch Front, Eastern Box Elder County and the Great Salt Lake Desert from Noon Monday through Monday evening. High temperatures will reach around 100°, with little overnight relief. Adjust your plans to avoid being outdoors during the hottest parts of the day, or during the afternoon and early evening. Never leave children or pets in vehicles and wear light-colored clothing.
