The "living RAOB" combines surface observations from sites at varying elevations across the Black Hills with hourly mid-to-upper-level model data to estimate the current atmospheric profile. Temperatures at each level are shown in red, dew points are shown in green, and winds are represented by barbs on the right-hand side of the plot. The most recent observed sounding is also plotted in the background with transparent red and green lines and grey wind barbs.
