WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT THURSDAY FOR THE WESTERN SLOPES OF THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN GREENS

A Wind Advisory is in effect for Thursday afternoon and evening for the western slopes of the central and southern Green Mountains, including the northern Taconics and the City of Rutland. .DISCUSSION...
Today will be the warmest of the week, with highs in the 70s
and minimum relative humidity of 45 to 55 percent. Scattered 
showers are possible mainly in the higher terrain, and isolated
thunder is possible as well. More widespread rain will develop
Thursday into Friday, with lowering daytime temperatures and
increasing minimum RH. Strong gusty east winds are possible late
Thursday, especially over higher terrain.

.DISCUSSION...
Other than isolated showers across the Adirondacks this afternoon, 
most of the area will remain dry and partly cloudy through this 
evening. Low pressure approaching from the southwest will bring 
another bout of cool and damp weather tomorrow and Friday, with 
occasional rain. Another brief period of fair weather is expected 
Saturday, before more showers return for Sunday.

Rainfall amounts of one half inch to one inch are expected from
Thursday through late Friday afternoon.
