Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through 7 PM tonight for Southern St. Lawrence and Franklin Counties of New York

A swath of light to moderate snow is spreading over northern New York. The greatest chances for steady snow are during the overnight hours. The highest snowfall totals are expected in southern St. Lawrence and southern Franklin Counties of New York, where accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are expected, with locally up to 6 inches possible. The Four Seasons is a quarterly newsletter issued by the National Weather Service in Burlington, VT at the beginning of each season. This rendition of the National Weather Service Burlington's newsletter was started in the Fall of 2014. Each edition will feature several central articles discussing recent weather events or issues facing the weather or climate of northern New York and Vermont. Also included in each issue are a summary of the past month's weather, an article looking closer at some of the science of meteorology, a glance at any of our upcoming public events, and an article detailing a certain part of our webpage and how or why to use it.
