Severe thunderstorms possible from the central Plains to the upper Midwest

Severe thunderstorms containing damaging winds, large hail, heavy rainfall, and a few isolated tornadoes will be possible this afternoon into tonight from the central Plains to the upper Midwest. Lows tonight will be in the 30s to near 40 degrees with clear skies through the night. Winds will shift from the northwest to the southwest overnight, remaining around 5 mph.
Wednesday will be warm and breezy across North and Central Texas. The warm, breezy and dry conditions will lead to an elevated fire weather threat. Highs will be between 10-15 mph above normal.
