Elevated fire weather conditions expected to develop this afternoon and provide the necessary conditions for grass fire development. Temperatures should climb to around 80 this afternoon, southwest winds will increase to 15 to 25 mph, and relative humidity values should fall to near 20 percent.
Dry conditions and warmer than normal conditions are expected across West Central Texas over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Friday looks to be the warmest day, when temperatures should climb to or above 80 degrees for afternoon highs at some locations. A weak cold front will move south across the area on Saturday, with only slightly cooler temperatures expected behind the front.
