Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are expected across the western part of the area.

For locations in and near: Abilene, San Angelo, Ozona, Haskell, Sonora, Sweetwater, Barnhart, Eldorado, Ballinger, Anson, Sterling City: A line of showers located from near Throckmorton to Abilene to Paint Rock at 1230 pm will continue to move eastward across much of west central Texas through the afternoon. Expect light rainfall amounts of a tenth of an inch or less, mainly across the eastern Big Country. Another area of light showers will spread northward across Crockett and Sutton counties this afternoon, with light rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch.
