Strong to Severe Thunderstorms Continue Tonight in the East; Early Heat Wave in the West

Scattered strong to severe storms with damaging winds and potentially a tornado or two are expected tonight from the coastal Carolinas into the Mid-Atlantic states. An anomalously early heat wave will continue to intensify and expand across the West and Southwest as the week progresses.
