Very warm and dry conditions will occur across the Panhandles today, however there will be stronger winds in the southwest Panhandles, that will lead to critical Fire Weather conditions. The rest of the Panhandles can expect Elevated Fire Weather due to very dry fuels and low RH values.

While we'll be warm and dry for the next several days, there is a hint on the horizon for possible moisture to return to the Panhandles as we move out into the first week of March.

We had a pretty active fire week last week. And while this week may be more tame as far as the winds, it will still be very warm and very dry with some breezy winds, and that will continue the recipe for elevated to critical Fire Weather. So please continue to keep these fire safety recommendations in mind.
