National Weather Service United States Department of Commerce

The National Weather Service Office in Binghamton, NY is actively involved in educating the communities we serve through the National Weather Service Outreach program. We provide tours of our facilities and provide speakers for groups interested in weather safety and education. Our meteorologists frequently visit area schools to teach our children about careers in meteorology, weather basics and general weather safety. We participate in a wide range of community activities, from career fairs and science fairs to large outdoor recreational activities such as the New York State Fair, and the Pennsylvania Farm Show. If you wish to schedule a tour of our office, schedule a google hangout or have a presenter visit your location please fill out this google form or contact Mitchell.Gaines@noaa.gov and  Bryan.Greenblatt@noaa.gov. Our ability to provide a talk or tour will depend on the availability of meteorologists. Also, the national NWS outreach program provides opportunities for interactions with NWS meteorologists.
