There is a level 1 out of 5 risk for severe weather on Friday from 11 am to 6 pm for part of central Alabama. Threats include a brief tornado and damaging wind gusts.
Rain chances will remain each day into next week. Overall, 4-5" accumulations are possible in the northwest and 1.5-2.5" in the southeast. However, locally higher amounts are possible in any stronger storms that move over the same areas.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms today with high temperatures in the 80s. Light and variable winds.
Evening showers and thunderstorms with patchy fog overnight. Low temperatures in the 60s.
