A moderate to high risk of flash flooding is in effect Thursday and Friday, with the highest threat across the southern portions of Central Alabama. Flash flooding will be likely with rainfall amounts of 2-5" and locally higher amounts of 6" or more. Never cross flooded roads.
There is a level 1 of 5 Marginal risk for severe thunderstorms on Friday. Damaging winds are the main threat.
Additional widespread heavy showers and storms, with lows in the lower 70s.
