A Dense Fog Advisory is now in effect through 9 AM Wednesday morning. Visibilities will be down to 1/4 mile or less at times. Be extremely cautious during your morning commute as conditions can change rapidly.
We will be a bit warmer today with temps warming into the mid 60s to mid 70s under partly sunny skies.
Look for mostly cloudy skies tonight as well as another round of patchy fog as we head into Thursday morning. Lows drop into the 50s for most.
Thursday looks to feature mostly cloudy skies with high temps in the upper 60s to mid 70s across the region.
Strong to severe thunderstorms are forecast to develop Friday afternoon through late Friday night as our next cold front approaches the region. There is currently a Slight Risk (Level 2 out of 5) for severe storms across much of west-central Alabama. A Marginal Risk (Level 1 out of 5) risk extends east towards the AL/GA state line. The environment will be supportive of damaging winds, a few tornadoes, and large hail. Continue to check back for future updates!
In addition to the severe threat, a slow moving boundary will promote periods of heavy rainfall at times, especially across northwestern portions of Central Alabama, where rainfall amounts from 2-3" are likely.
