A Flood Watch is in effect until 10 am today through 10 pm Tuesday for much of central Alabama. Heavy rainfall will result in a risk for isolated flash flooding.
There is a level 1 out of 5 risk for a couple severe thunderstorms today with a brief tornado and/or damaging wind gusts. This threat is for areas from near Tuscaloosa to near Montgomery and points south to southwest.
A daily scattering of showers and thunderstorms is expected through next week. A few storms may be strong from day to day with the primary hazards being frequent lightning, gusty winds, and heavy rain.
Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms today. High temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Southerly winds around 5 mph.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms this evening, isolated overnight; patchy fog. Low temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. Light and variable winds.
