A Heat Advisory remains in effect for West-Central portions of Central Alabama through 9 PM tonight. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will create heat index readings up to 108 degrees. Wear lightweight, light colored clothing. Stay hydrated and avoid strenuous outdoor activities during the heat of the day.
Partly cloudy. Chances for showers and storms in the afternoon near and west of I-65. Hot with highs from the mid 90s east to around 100 west. Northwest winds 5-10 mph.
For tonight a few showers and storms will linger through 10 PM. Otherwise, expect partly cloudy and dry conditions with lows in the lower to mid 70s.
