Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rainfall in the Southeast and Southwest Texas

Overview

Supercell thunderstorms developed during the afternoon hours on June 28 across portions of Iowa.  Several confirmed tornado touchdowns were reported across the state including seven in the Des Moines forecast area.  In addition, reports of golf ball to baseball sized hail were also received.
