Rain and Ongoing Flood Concerns in Texas; Freezing Temperatures in the Midwest to the Northeast

Showers and storms will persist in Texas into the weekend with the heaviest rain focused over central Texas including the Hill Country where the threat for some flash flooding remains. Overview

A severe weather outbreak occurred on Monday, March 6th 2017. Six tornadoes were documented to have occurred in the National Weather Service Des Moines County Warning Area, including 2 that were rated EF2 strength. Numerous reports of hail and wind reports were noted with many of the storms.
