Severe Thunderstorms in the Southern Plains; Coastal Storm to Bring Rain and Wind to New England

Severe thunderstorms are possible across parts of the southern Plains today. Large hail is the main threat, along with some damaging winds. A few instances of 2+ inch diameter hail are possible. Overview

A severe weather outbreak occurred on Monday, March 6th 2017. Six tornadoes were documented to have occurred in the National Weather Service Des Moines County Warning Area, including 2 that were rated EF2 strength. Numerous reports of hail and wind reports were noted with many of the storms.
