Severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts will be possible from the mid-Mississippi Valley into parts of the Ohio Valley and central Appalachians tonight. Heavy rain associated with these storms may lead to considerable flash and urban flooding impacts across portions of the Ohio Valley. ...IPAWS National Test To Replace NWR Weekly Test Wednesday August
7th 2019...

FEMA, in coordination with the FCC will conduct a nationwide test
of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) on Wednesday August 7th at
1:20 PM CDT. This Integrated Public Alert and Warning System
(IPAWS) test will supersede the routine weekly tests of the NOAA
Weather and All Hazards Radio, which are normally conducted on
Wednesday`s at 11 A.M. and 7 P.M. The next NOAA Weather Radio
weekly test will be conducted August 14th 2019 at 11 A.M. and 7
P.M. unless severe weather is in the forecast.
