Heavy Rainfall in the Southern Plains and Mississippi Valley; Thunderstorms in Eastern Colorado on Thursday

A multiple day heavy rainfall event will begin to set up from the Southern Plains into the Mississippi Valley Thursday, peaking in intensity over the holiday weekend. Consolidation of NWS Flood Products

Effective on or after November 4, 2021, the National Weather Service (NWS) will implement the consolidation and/or reformatting of Flood Watches, Warnings, and Advisories. This action will allow us to streamline the types of flood products issued and make them more effective in communicating important flood-related information to the public.
