Heavy Rain Across Southern Texas and the Southeast

Showers and thunderstorms may produce a localized threat of flash flooding over southern Texas and the Southeast coast and much of Florida. Overview

Strong thunderstorms developed along and ahead of a warm front that lifted north into eastern Iowa and northern Illinois Wednesday afternoon and evening. Several funnel clouds were reported with these storms, and 3 brief tornadoes touched down in Bureau county in Illinois, with little to no damage.  Additional tornadoes developed further east in Lee and La Salle counties in northern Illinois.
