Showers and Storms in the East; Dangerously Hot and Dry in the West

A front will bring scattered showers and storms to portions of the Central and Eastern US. Severe storms are expected in parts of the Great Plains and Ozarks today. Overview

Late in the day and into the night of April 15th several storms developed and moved across the region. One storm over Atchison County, Missouri produced several funnel clouds and a very narrow and brief EF-0 tornado. No damage was reported by the tornado.
