Hurricane Lowell to Impact Kauai; Heat Continues in the South-Central U.S.

Hurricane Lowell is forecast to pass west of Kauai today. Impacts such as high surf and heavy rain could impact all of the islands. A Hurricane Warning is in effect for Kauai, Niihau and the surrounding coastal waters. Overview

Late in the day and into the night of April 15th several storms developed and moved across the region. One storm over Atchison County, Missouri produced several funnel clouds and a very narrow and brief EF-0 tornado. No damage was reported by the tornado.
