How to Obtain Daily and Monthly Normals and Extremes

Find temperature, precipitation, and snowfall normals and extremes for many locations.

You can get data for:

Atlanta Area (includes ATL)
Athens Area (includes AHN)
Columbus Area (includes CSG)
Macon Area (includes MCN)
...and several other locations

For official data, contact the National Centers for Environmental Information.

Daily and Monthly Normals / Averages

Open the Climate Page (includes snowfall)

Select 1. Location.
Under 2. Product, choose Daily/monthly normals.
Under 3. Options, choose Monthly or Daily, then select the variable you want.
Click Go. A graph will be created, with a table of values below it.

Monthly Extremes

Open the Climate Page (includes snowfall)

Select 1. Location.
Under 2. Product, choose Monthly summarized data.
Under 3. Options, select the year range. You can type POR for Period of Record.
Select the variable, then under Summary choose Daily Maximum or Daily Minimum.
Click Go.

Daily Extremes

Open the Climate Page (includes snowfall)

Select 1. Location.
Under 2. Product, choose Calendar day summaries.
Under 3. Options, select the year range. You can type POR for Period of Record.
Select the variable, then under Summary make your selection.
Click Go.
