Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central Georgia

Dry conditions are expected Today and Wednesday. Afternoon Min RH
values expected to dip down into the teens and lower 20s Today.
Combine this with NW winds in the 8-12mph range gusting to 20mph
and you have very good fire weather conditions. We will be
issuing a "Fire Danger Statement" for these conditions through
7pm this evening for all of north and central GA. Fuel moistures
are dry so conditions will be perfect for fire weather concerns.
Wednesday does not look as strait forward as Today. The over all
flow turns more SE to S Wed afternoon and does not allow Min RH
values to dip as low. Will still see dry conditions with Min RH
values in the Mid 20s to lower 30s. Still expecting fuel
moistures to stay dry so will have to take another look at things
Tonight and make a decision for Wed. Precip begins to push back
into the area Wednesday night so not expecting any fire weather
hazards through the weekend.
