A Fire Danger Statement is in effect this afternoon and early
evening across portions of north Georgia and all of central
Georgia due to minimum relative humidity values falling below
25 percent.

Dry and sunny conditions will persist today, though winds will be
lighter than yesterday. Expect westerly winds at 6-12 mph with
occasional gusts 15-20 mph possible this afternoon. Minimum RH
values will into the 20-25 percent range, mainly for areas near
and southeast of I-85, with RH values 25-30 percent for areas
farther northwest. Dry conditions will persist on Thursday, but
minimum RH values are likely to remain more in the 30-35 percent
range with continued west winds at 5-10 mph.
