Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central Georgia
National Weather Service Peachtree City GA
126 AM EST Tue Feb 17 2026

.DISCUSSION...

No hazardous fire weather concerns are expected at this time.
Relative humidity values and winds will remain outside of
critical thresholds.

High pressure across the region will continue to keep things
precipitation free Today. May see an isolated shower or two
across central GA Wednesday, but precip real precip chances dont
pick up until Thursday and Friday. Minimum relative humidity
values are not expected to get near critical threshold levels
with values in the 40% to 50% range Today and near 60% Wednesday.
Winds will be out of the SE today in the 5-10mph range. Winds
shift to the SW Wed with speeds increasing into the 8-14 mph
range with gust to 20mph. A weak frontal boundary moves south out
of TN Wed and stalls across north GA through the end of the week.
This boundary does not have a lot of moisture or dynamics with it
but the moist Southwesterly flow will keep precip chances
elevated through the end of the week.
