Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central Georgia
National Weather Service Peachtree City GA
116 PM EST Tue Jan 13 2026

One last day of dry conditions today, with a Fire Danger
Statement for central Georgia through late afternoon where
several hours of RH values below 25% are anticipated. In north
Georgia minimum RH values should be in the 25 to 35% range today.
Winds this afternoon will be consistent from the southwest at
3 to 8 mph. On Wednesday, humidity values will increase
substantially ahead of an approaching storm system, with min RHs
near 50% in the afternoon. Winds will turn out of the west by
Wednesday afternoon and be slightly stronger at around 6 to
12 mph with gusts to 20 mph. The front will start to push through
the area from northwest to southeast Wednesday evening and
overnight, bringing along scattered light rain showers. In the
higher areas of the north GA mountains, the rain may turn to
light snow showers, with very little accumulation.
