Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central Georgia
National Weather Service Peachtree City GA
226 PM EDT Mon May 11 2026

.DISCUSSION...

No hazardous fire weather concerns are expected at this time.
Relative humidity values and winds will remain outside of
critical thresholds.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible today across the
far southern fire zones, but additional rainfall will be limited
to less than a quarter of an inch. Minimum RH will be in the mid
to upper 50s; though a few zones across NE Georgia could fall to
as low as 45%. Winds will be out of the northwest today around
10 mph; with gusts as high as 20 mph. Thunderstorms are possible
along the afternoon sea breeze and while severe weather is not
expected, wind gusts could be erratic at times.

As a cold front sinks deeper into the south, RH values will fall
and could possibly flirt with Fire Danger criteria on Thursday,
though Red Flag Conditions are not expected.
