Upcoming Changes and Updates to NWS Peachtree City's Webpage

Effective on September 27th!

(This page will be updated often with the latest info.)

ATTENTION!!  To All Interests:

On September 27, 2016, the look and feel of our webpage changed! Our office, along with all other Southern Region NWS Offices, will migrate to a new front page layout. Here's a link to the Public Information Statement (PNS) from Southern Region Headquarters.

In addition to the new front page layout, all webpage links will be changing!! Therefore, your bookmarks will also need to be updated.

Main Webpage Link Changes:

1.  NEW NWS Peachtree City's front page address: https://www.weather.gov/ffc

2.  Any link that includes www.srh.noaa.gov will not operate after September 27th.

3.  Webpage links will have the following convention:            https://www.weather.gov/ffc/webpagename

Efforts have been made to keep the new web address structure as similar as possible to the old web addresses.  As an example,

https://www.srh.noaa.gov/ffc/?n=firewx

will become

https://weather.gov/ffc/firewx

Also, most PHP pages (pages with "html" and "php" in their URLs) will change to the pagename format:

https://www.srh.noaa.gov/ffc/html/briefings.php

will become

https://weather.gov/ffc/briefings

Although this will be the case for most of our webpages, there will be some webpages that won't follow this convention.  To assist with the transition, a webpage re-direct will be implemented for high-priority webpages for at least a few months after the transition date.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we go through this transition!!  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our webmasters at sr-ffc.webmaster@noaa.gov.

Stay Tuned!! This webpage will be updated as often as possible with new information as we approach the transition date.
