Arctic Air for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic; Increase Rainfall for Pacific Northwest

An arctic cold front will quickly track across the Great Lakes, Northeast and mid-Atlantic. Snow showers and squalls will accompany this system with increasing winds and falling temperatures. Damaging wind gusts may result in tree damage and power outages. NWS Hastings – Regional Weather Summary Product Discontinuation

Effective, Monday, July 1, 2024, the Hastings, NE NWS Weather Forecast Office will discontinue issuance of the Regional Weather Summary (RWS) product. The last RWS product will be issued during the late afternoon of June 30, 2024.

The information contained within the RWS can be obtained through other NWS Hastings products, such as the Area Forecast Discussion (AFD), social media (X/Twitter and Facebook), the Weather Story and Graphicasts.
